Our day camps are designed to be very intimate allowing children hands-on experience with the animals. This camp is for children in grades k-5.
Camp is held from 9:00am-3:30 pm, Monday-Thursday
The cost for the camp is $210 per week (non-refundable)
Bring a BIG sack lunch (farmers get hungry!). Bottled water will be provided all day!
Space is limited...register early!
General Farm Camp: Meet and play with Snuggles, the potbellied pig, and her animal friends. What do various farm animals eat? How do we care for farm animals? Learn the difference between hay and straw. Picnic with some of the animals. Scavenger hunt & farm games. Plant and maintain a vegetable garden (take home a plant).
Nature Camp: What other animals live on the farm? We will look for bluebirds, barn swallows, hawks, worms, salamanders, frogs, toads, caterpillars and butterflies, deer, turkeys, and more. Plant and maintain a butterfly garden (take home a potted flower). This promises to be a week full of adventure. If your child loves to go for nature walks and dig in the dirt, this week is for you.
Pony Camp: This camp is all about our four-legged friends. We will learn how to care for, groom and ride horses. We may even give our ponies a bubble bath! Children will learn about tack and how it is used. We will also have a visit from a real farrier and watch as our horses get a trim and/or shoes. If your child loves horses, this camp is a great introduction to horses and hands on.
Due to normal daily farm obligations, early drop-off or late pick-up is not available. Your promptness is appreciated!
-Make sure your child wears comfortable shoes...no sandals please!
-Wear clothing that can get dirty
-Bring sunscreen and bug repellant
-Be certain your camper gets a good night's sleep
