This summer will mark the 14th annual "Quake on the Lake" at Pontiac Lake Recreation in Waterford Township, Michigan. As one of Oakland County's premiere summertime events, it is expected to draw about 400,000 spectators as racers approach speeds that reach over 170 miles per hour in a one-mile race course on Pontiac Lake. It is deemed one of the fastest race courses in North America!
From family activities to action thrills, it is the event that has families "racing" to get in on the fun!
What to expect at Quake on the Lake
Although the main attraction is the hydroplane races; there will be many attractions taking place in-land for all to enjoy. Food, beverages, displays, the Family fun-zone and the Flaming Pistons Car Club show are just to name a few. Oh! and Macaroni Kid - Waterford/Clarkston and Huron Valley will be on site in the Family fun-zone; so make sure to come visit us! Your child can do a craft with us!
